Ryder's AEMS Blog 2021

This weekend I have a hockey tournament in St. Eustache we are playing two games on Saturday and if we win we win we get to play 1 games on Sunday and if we win we get to go to the finals and maybe win a trophy for 1st place.

Today at 7:00 I got called up to fill in for a player in bantam so hitting Luege. After the game tonight I have to pack up and get ready to go to the tournament. We will be staying in the Best Western Plus in Headingly right outside of Winnipeg. I am going to be playing on a line with Elijah  as center, Dawson as left wing and , I am going to be right wing.

Our coaches are Corey Bardason, Ernest Rempel, and our lead coach is Corey Komen. We have some players that will not be playing so we will have to be going on 2 as much as we usually do so our line will get a lot of ice time and wee will be pooped after the second period. Our goalies are Charlie Buehlmann and Mason Bardason. Charlie will not be able to make it to the tournament Mason will have to play all games.

My brother Dainen is coming cause he also has hockey in the city this weekend. So my mom will keep on driving us around . Previously our record of games is 3-0-0. We have played the teams Gimli, Stonewall, and Lundar. I like Playing in tournaments away from home cause you get to travel and stay in a hotel the whole time. The tournament start on Saturday and it will end Sunday evening.

We will play city teams so teams that we will be playing against are teams that we never played before. So we don’t really know if they are good or bad. I will be playing about 4-6 hockey games this weekend and on the way back to my house I have to going to junior lightning practice.

Today is Friday and we have a two hockey games  one tonight and one on Saturday. Tonights game is at 7:00 and we are playing against stonewall in Arborg.

We have played one game already this season against Lundar and we beat them 9-4. I also have a game on Saturday night against Gimli in Gimli. I am on a line with Elijah and Dawson. Elijah is center Dawson is left wing and I am right wing. I like playing on a line with them I also like playing with the defence line that has Hunter on it cause he is a very good passer from behind and he can usually defend a guy if it is a one vs one.

I don’t remember playing stonewall that much but I do remember playing with Jayden and them and winning a banner against them from 2016/2017. Most players from stonewall are small so they are usually fast but we should manage to beat them tonight. I am on a penalty kill with Elijah and then when we are on the power play I am with Elijah and Ronald.

I practice on Mondays Wendsdays, and I get called up to the older group on Thursdays for practice. Gimli has a team with some fast players and some not so good players but we can probaly beat them but last time i played them with this age group we tied 7-7. I usually score one or more goals most games and usally a couple assists to Elijah.

I Hope that we can win both games this weekend cause I have a friend on Gimli that says there going to beat us and I don’t really like most of the players from Gimli.

This years winter is  upcoming it is some peoples favorite season. There are so many thing to do in the winter like make snowmen, Christmas, snowball fights, hockey, snow mobile driving, sledding down hills, winter movies, ice fishing,  and  towing behind a snow mobile.

some of my favorite things to do in the winter is go ski-doo riding and have a nice fire on the side of the frozen lake. I like going skating on rivers that are cleared off like the one in town last year. All the winters that I have had in my whole life at least one time we go across the lake to my grandpas cabin for the day. We cook burgers, hotdogs, and smokeys. We usally  go across to the cabin on my grandpas two snow mobiles. It is mostly Me, my Mom, Dainen, My auntie, Kynan (cousin), Kali, Uncle Steve, And my cousin Brooklyn, along with my Ama and Grandpa.

Hockey is my favorite sport of all time I have played it sense I was three years old. We have our first game tonight Friday oct 15 2021. Our two goalies are Charlie, and Mason. I play right wing and deffence some times. In the winter i also love going ice fishing my dad bought a ice shack 2 years a go and the first year we fished in gimli and the last year we fished in sandy bar. Our best fishing is at my grandpas we catch most of our fish there. We went fishing last year there with my uncle, auntie, kynan, and brooklyn and my whole family for about four hours and we ended up catching 23 pickrel, sogers.

In the winter in Arborg it snows a decent amount so building snow men when the snow is perfect is what most people do. It is also fun just throwing snow balls around or if your in a battle trying to hit someone with it. With winter also comes Christmas one of the most popular holidays of the year. Lots of kids love Christmas cause you get a whole bunch of new stuff.

One of my favorite things of winter is all the Christmas movies that you can watch like home alone, four Christmases, Elf and plenty more that you can watch.

Hockey is my favorite sport of all time we strarted hockey this week and we had two  practices already. We haven’t played a game yet but I think we are going to start playing in about two to three weeks.

We usally have a good team with the players that we have. I have a feeling this year we are going to win a lot of games and have a good strong team. We have some people on the team that aren’t that good but there are also some players that stand out on their lines that even out the line . We have four new kids on our team I personally don’t like having new kids on our team. I just like playing  with the same old team that I always have had.

I personally like playing with the older kids even though we don’t win as many games I have more  friends on that team and just enjoy playing with them more than with the younger kids. I don’t really like playing with people that aren’t good at the game but I know that they are just plying for fun. I like playing right wing cause I get in good spots for shooting and get to touch the puck often aswell. I also don’t mind playing Deffence.

I have been playing hockey for 9 years I started playing when I was 3 years old . The hockey season was canceled last year so I am basically playing with the same people for two years in a row. I have won a total of three banners through put my life.

Hi I am going to tell you about riding dirt bikes with me and my friends

At the start me, my brother, and talon used to be the only ones to go riding together. We would drive all along the back roads behind my house we would drive about over ten miles on back  roads behind my house. We sometimes drove on the back roads to talons and drove around geysir. Then Bennett got a dirt bike and we started driving around town going to the gas bar, riding by john deer, at the big hill by patterson, and  going through the diches around town. Sometimes we would drive on different roads behind my house to see where it would take us.

Then we would go to a creek over and over again for like a week we would go there and catch minnows with our hands or a net. We would also go fishing there sometimes we didn’t catch anything. The first time Bennett wiped out was in front of Madi’s house on the other side of the road his tire got caught on a rut and his bike went out of control and he fell over. One day Lyndon came over and we got together with talon and Bennett and we started driving around town going through the ditches. We came back to my house and we started driving around the house and then we raced around the house for a while then talon, Bennett, and Lyndon went home.

My longest Ride was with Me, Talon, Bennett, and Dainen. We drove from My house to Hnausa we took fields, different paths, backroads. We got  to Hnausa and started driving on the beach and me and bennett almost flooded our engines  going around the rock piles through the water on the beach. Then we drove home through the ditches on the  highway.
